Christopher Sheldon, Director of Investment Strategy BNY Mellon Wealth Management

In the year that Bank of New York Mellon celebrates its 225th anniversary, Christopher Sheldon will share with the membership his view of the state of the economy and, maybe more important, the state of the recovery.  Mr. Sheldon is the director of investment strategy for BNY Mellon Wealth Management and the chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee. He and his team set capital market expectations and are responsible for making asset allocation and implementation recommendations.

He joined the firm in 1995 and has more than 20 years of industry experience as a portfolio manager and investment strategist. He is the vice chair of the Investment Policy Committee and serves as president of the BNY Mellon Funds. Prior to his current position, Mr. Sheldon was the managing director of BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s group on the west coast.

As a recognized national speaker, Mr. Sheldon speaks on issues of investment strategy, the financial markets and the economy and is a frequent guest on Bloomberg and CNBC.  He is the author of BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s monthly Investment Update newsletter. After reading the August edition, maybe he’ll tell us more about Marvin the Martian’s powers.

Mr. Sheldon is a CFA charter holder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
